Assess the economics
Look at frequency, existing fees, waiting time and intended users. Keep mature external services when they remain the better option.
Define a practical scope
Specify inputs, outputs, users and exceptions. The business problem and representative examples come before a technical architecture.
Build for daily use
A useful internal tool needs an operating interface, clear rules and access to the right systems. Validate with samples before using it in a critical workflow.
Agree on ownership
Code or configuration handoff, account ownership, data export, training and maintenance are agreed per project. Internal capability does not automatically imply private model deployment.
